PAT McKENNA – Executive Director
Currently holding two careers, one as the Executive Director of
Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North and the second as an
elected Councillor in the Town of Comox, Pat McKenna is a 17 year
resident of the Comox Valley. Born and raised in Antigonish, Nova
Scotia, Pat is a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University and has a
25-year background in corporate retail with Home Depot and Target
Corporations and a 10 year track record with non-profit leadership.
Pat builds community and is currently active as a member of the
Leadership team of the Campbell River and District Coalition to End
Homelessness, the President of Three Legged Dog Productions, a 10
year member of the Board of Vancouver Island Music Fest Society
and is a Rotarian in the Strathcona Sunrise Rotary Club in Courtenay.
TOM BESHR – Director of Development
Tom Beshr is the Development and Partnerships Manager in his 8 th
year with Habitat for Humanity.
Tom is a fundraiser, advocate & public speaker with over 25 years of
experience in the not-for-profit world.
A father of 6, Tom lives in Comox and has previously worked globally
with the United Nations, the World Food Program and Doctors
without Borders.
Tom’s personal belief is to empower those less fortunate. He
demonstrates this by giving to the community through his work and
by currently serving on two non-profit boards during his free time.
