More than 33 members of the Courtenay Rotary Club banded together to raise $8,290 for New Hope Academy, a primary school in Uganda that provides free educational services to two thirds of its students. The money will be added to a fund for the school in memory of Sherry Marshall Bruce, the partner of Jorden Marshall and mother to Aaron Bruce. Sherry passed away from breast cancer in March.
